Fifth Class
5th Class tour
Mrs. O’Sullivan’s and Mr. Leavy’s 5th classes paid a visit to the W5 centre in Belfast. They all enjoyed the wonderful science experiments and activities and after a forensics workshop they went to Pizza Hut which was a great end to a wonderful day.
Incredible Edibles Competition.
Mrs. O’ Sullivan’s 5th Class and Ms. Geoghegan’s 6th class entered into this competition. They had to plant 5 fruits and vegetables, and then make some different recipes using them. They then made a scrapbook, which they submitted to the competition, about their great experience.
Science Experiments
Three transition years from St. Michael’s are coming in to Mrs. O’Sullivan’s fifth Class each Thursday to do some science experiments with the children. Last week they measured their height and checked to see if the tallest people had the biggest feet, and this week, they made anemometers and went outside to measure the wind speed.
World War Two
Mr Leavy's Class researched World War Two. One of the parents donated genuine gas masks from that era to the school. The children all had a go of the masks. Mr Leavy did too!

Ms O Sullivan’s class were busy with mind mapping, drama and book reviews.
